With 5,000 acres of parkland to explore, Wilderness is an ideal getaway for guests with dogs. There’s plenty to do with miles of Suffolk landscape to explore, and a never ending list of trails and walks beyond the estate. With rabbits to chase, lakes to swim in and cosy fireplaces to curl up in front of, your pet will love it’s stay at Wilderness.
We keep an open mind so when booking just let us know which creature you want to bring and – lions or hippos aside – we’ll do our best to accommodate in our dog friendly cottages. If you need to bring a minder, there’s space to host them separately or in your accommodation. We can also offer staff to look after your pets whilst you enjoy your down time or evening meals. Beyond the Wilderness estate, take your pet for a stroll along the traditional seaside pier in Southwold, or discover Dunwich Heath, a haven for birds and wild deer.
The White Horse pub in Badingham, Woodbridge is the perfect spot after a long walk, a local pub welcoming dogs with open arms serving Artisan sandwiches and pints of real ale and cider. Or if you prefer, keep it a private affair with our in-house chefs serving locally sourced three course meals, or hearty informal dinners ideal before hibernating in front of the fire with your pet at your feet.
Weekends from £2,050
Formerly the estate’s stables, the four en suite bedroom Clockhouse, with its clock tower and Georgian proportions, provides light-filled living spaces all wrapped around a central private gated courtyard perfect for BBQs and families with small children.
